This has been a huge year for me. A year that ha This has been a huge year for me. A year that has helped me to excavate a deeper capacity to hold to feel to live to empathize to love. This year I solo parented my 2 babies and grew our 3rd while my husband Artur returned back overseas to continue working on our long term dreams. Living under layers that could have, would have, should have really broken me only made my inner foundations more durable and has reassured me of my capability. And somehow, it’s bought me back to my true self. Returning my confidence to live a challenging and complex life with more ease and grace. A heartfelt thank you to all of the mothers who said yes to postpartum care and closing of the bones ceremonies with me this year. I’ve learnt so much from you all, witnessing you in your entirety, and seeing how you’ve bloomed truly lights me up. I’m grateful to the mothers who were so understanding when I had to refer them to other doulas and space holders when I told them I was pregnant with our 3rd baby. I remember saying out loud “We’re all together again” knowing that we had been a family before. These are the moments my heart goes back to when I remember his birth. How empowering it was to birth him in the safety of our cozy home. In our own time In our own way Undisturbed Without interventions Deeply supported by our Midwife In the warmth of the water & with Artur and Luna by my side. Tears streamed as we watched his birth video and scrolled through photos loving captured by @oliviadickesonfilms.
